Under the hood
The Heatsink here shows the 6 Heatpipes connecting both Heatsinks togther in a plate that is MaxContact Technology which provide 2X More Contact with GPU for Improved Thermal Transfer
underneath the big Heatsink lies down NVIDIA GP104 GPU that is originally runs on Core Clocks 1607MHz and Boost clock 1683MHz ,but ASUS adjusted the Speeds and made it run at Base Clock 1683 MHz and Boost Clock 1759 MHz on OC mode.
The GDDR5 RAM chipsets are on board are 256bit and by Micron 7QA47 D9TCB rated to run at speed of 8000Mhz using 1.5 Volt
The Card have 7 Phase power , 6 of them are for GPU and 1 for DRAM integrated with DrMOS regulators
The controller assigned to the management of the power supply voltages of the board is the model with support up to 8 phases in compliance with the specifications NVIDIA Open VReg Type 8 PWMVID.
This is the same controller used on the STRIX GTX 1080 Ti, 1080 and 1070.
